The UCSC team after building a fog water harvester at a Pacifica resident’s house. Our unique design allows the fog water to drip directly onto the garden bed below. The frame is made of sustainably cut bamboo from Aptos, CA, and the collectors are aluminum railing fittings. The guy wires are 1/4″ steel cable with cable clamps and turnbuckles to keep the frame taut.

Video made at the UCSC Teaching and Learning Center explaining fog water harvesting for the exhibit on fog at the Seymour Center.
